We shouldn’t follow political models that come from states that don’t believe in democracy. These models don’t fit the current political climate in Iraq, not to mention that the terms of the past have no meanings in the new language. Today we are willing to lay the foundation of a new Iraqi democratic model that is going to be one of its kind in the region. According to this model: we don’t want to collapse by abandoning our neighbors, we don’t want to lose the right of freedom that couldn’t be assured without protecting the right of disagreement, and we are absolutely in need for skillful Iraqi politicians who serve the national agenda without any impeding frameworks.
